FRONT END 5C l3 2 To adjust striker right or left loosen retainer plate attaching bolts while holding retainer and Fziv 7 striker in position Then slide striker and retainer plate right or left as required and tighten bolts AWA 4 FRONT COMPARTMENT LID GUTTER WEATHERSTRIP SCREWS Removal 1 Separate butt ends of weatherstrip at front of compartment opening t iiiiiii R l r 2 With a flat bladed tool carefully disengage r i r ff weatherstrip from its cemented foundation in gutter M around entire perimeter of front compartment and J3 t remove weatherstrip i je T r lj ex 1 u a RM j A 1 Remove excess cement from gutter around entire front compartment opening to insure a VIEW A smooth cementing surface 4 use 2 Brush an approved weatherstrip cement along base of gutter around entire perimeter of gutter Fig 5C23 G s T nl Filler Door NOTE Apply a sufficient amount of weatherstrip 6 Allow sufficient time for cement to set before cement along lower inboard corner of gutter so closing front compartment lid that after installation of weatherstrip cement will spread and completely fill area GAS TANK FILLER DOOR ASSEMBLY 3 Center weatherstrip at area between lid hinges R emovnl nd Installation using color or tape identification mark at center of weatherstrip as guide 1 Open door and scribe location of hinge on body 4 Using a flat bladed tool such as a putty knife with rounded corners insert weatherstrip into 2 Remove bolts Fig BC23 securing hinge to gutter across top down sides and across front of body and remove door assembly compartment opening in that order Roll or press weatherstrip to insure a good seal and proper 3 To install align hinge within scribe marks retention of weatherstrip and reverse removal procedure 5 If installing new weatherstrip trim ends of Adilmmems weatherstrip to form butt joint at front of open ing Brush weatherstrip cement on both ends of 1 To position door in or out or up or down in wemimsnap and secure ends together to mm a its opening 1 s hinge attaching bolts adjust butt joint door as required then tighten bolts
